Sowparnika-Physics & Chemistry club of VBIT has organized Science Exhibition in which various models prepared by I B.Tech students were exhibited.
Sowparnika-Physics and Chemistry Club of VBIT has organised Exhibition based on Science working models and poster presentation competitions for I B.Tech. students in which 180 students have participated.
Actionaid India, an NGO working for the poor and vulnerable communities, in association with SRISHTI, the literary club of H&S Department, VBIT, conducted an awareness program on the protection, welfare and the well being of the girl children as part of the “Beti Zindabad” campaign. Dr. Satya Lakshmi, Chief Guest and Director, Vemana Yoga Reaserch Centre, Hyd delivered a highly informative and motivating talk on the subject. Dr. J. S. N. Murthy, Principal and the Chief Guest gave away the Prizes to the winners of the Essay Writing Contest conducted on the topic “The Role of Girls in Society” in Telugu and English. Mr. D. Krishna Mohan Sharma, Associate Professor and convener of SRISHTI Club facilitated and coordinated the program
Sowparnika (PHYSICS & CHEMISTRY STUDENTS CLUB) has organized an event on 03rd & 04th January 2014 exclusively for the I Year B. Tech. Students under the aegis of Humanities & Sciences. This program was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. J. S. N. Murthy and Vice Principal Dr. J. Kulkarni at Akash Block (New block) of VBIT. There was an ocean of students from all the branches of Engineering at VBIT, who actively participated in the events viz., Quiz, Poster Presentation and Working Models display.
The First day i.e on 03.01.2014 saw 100 students (25 teams) participating in the Quiz competition. The preliminary round was conducted in the morning session out of which 6 teams were selected for the final round, conducted in the afternoon session
Poster presentation and working model display were held on 04.01.2014 at Akash (New block). In Poster Presentation 26 teams ( 2 students in each team ) actively participated out of which 14 teams gave a vivid presentation of physics topics and 12 teams generated their creative ideas from chemistry.
It was satisfying to see the huge no. of interested students coming forward to display their working models. A total of 108 participants ( 27 Teams) came up to project their innovative and application – oriented models with a great zeal to outdo the rest of the competitors. All the participants have exposed their creative skills under the able guidance of the Physics and chemistry staff.
The above mentioned activities were judged by noted teachers & researchers Prof. C. R. N. Sarma , Prof. Gopa Dutta, Prof. N. S. Babu & Prof. Prasanna Rajan. The judges have given valuable suggestions to encourage and improve the skills of participants.
All the winners of the above said activities were presented with the prizes on the Republic Day 26th January 2014.
