VBIT Achievements in the field of Sports for the Year 2008-09

• Dr. G. Ramprasad memorial I State Level Cricket Tournament was conducted in VBIT campus from 12th Aug – 19th Aug, 08. 20 Engineering Colleges participated in this Tournament. Vignan Engineering College won the series and Nishitha Engineering College got the Success Award.

• ABVP State wide Games Tournament was conducted from 15th Sep –29 Sep’08 VBIT Students got two awards for:-

• JNTU Inter Collegiate “B” Zone was held at Nall Malla Reddy Engineering College from 18th Oct – 20th Oct, 2008. Nearly 35 Colleges participated in this event and VBIT won the Volley Ball Match.

• Nexus State Level Challenge Cricket Trophy was held at Nexus Engineering College from 29th Dec,08 to 9th Jan, 09. Students from 50 Engineering Colleges participated in the Tournament and VBIT’s Team proved once again to be the Champions.

• JNTU Inter Collegiate Central Zone Tournament was conducted by JNTU Kukatpally, Hyderabad from 28-01-2009 to 31-01-2009. VBIT was participated First Time.

• Inter Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament was conducted by CBIT, from 12th Feb,09 to 14th Feb,09 and VBIT got the fourth Place.

• Inter Collegiate Foot Ball Tournament was conducted Mufconja Engineering College from 05-02-2008 to 07-02-2008

• All India Inter Collegiate Volley Ball Tournament was conducted by VNR Vignan Jyothi Engineering College from 18th Feb, 09 to 21st Feb, 09 and again VBIT secured 4th Place.

• All India Inter Collegiate Volley Ball and Cricket Tournaments were conducted by ICFAI, from 18th March, 09 to 20th March, 09 and as usual the players of VBIT bagged 4th Position in Cricket as well as Volley Ball.

• JNTU Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament B Zone was organised by VBIT at VBIT Campus from 25th Feb,09 to 28th Feb, 09. 8 selected Teams participated in the Tournament and VBIT bagged the winners Title.

• Inter Collegiate Foot Ball Tournament was conducted ICFAI Engineering College from 18-03-2009 to 21-03-2009.

• Inter Collegiate Foot Ball Tournament was conducted IIIT Hyderabad from 25-03-2009 to 27-03-2009. VBIT was participated.

• JNTU Inter Collegiate Cricket Tournament Central Zone was conducted by JNTU, Hyderabad from 1st March, 09 to 5th March, 09 and VBIT got the Second Place.

• JNTU Central Zone Volley Ball Tournament was conducted by JNTU, Hyderabad from 14th March, 09 to 16th March, 09 and VBIT got the Fourth Place.

• VBIT is proud to say that every year VBIT has shown its talent and proved to be a champion. 12 students got selected for JNTU Inter University Teams.

VBIT has achievement many Trophies in various Sports and Games. The Management has been constantly supporting and encouraging the students to participate in various competitions.Bandaru Srinivas Cricket Trophy was conducted from 4th Aug to 19th Aug, 2007. 65 Teams from different Engineering Colleges have participated. VBIT reached semi-final.
