Robotics Club – VBIT first began in the year 2015 by a group of passionate students. Our mission is to develop student’s interest in the world of robotics and to materialize their dream of building fascinating yet useful robots through steady set robot building and more challenging competitions, which give an innovative singularity towards their dreams. Our Vision mainly is to Explore, Develop and Innovate. It was completely fuelled on student’s interest and enthusiasm. Later, our management recognized our efforts towards perusing our interests and gave us immense support. Now, we have our very own ROBOTICS LAB, wherein all the required components are available that shall help unleash your potential.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • YANTRA YOJANA 2K16

    We conducted workshops on Quad copter and Hand-gesture Robots. In association with RoboSapiens from IIT Mumbai. We were successful with the participation of about 200 students from different branches.

  • ROBOLAB SESSSIONS

    We began these from the academic year 2015-16 and taught on various trending topics such as Arduino, Bluetooth, Line Follower, Obstacle Avoidance Robots. Later, we also added the topic and making of the Robotics Arm in the academic year 2016-17

  • YANTRA YOJANA 2K18

    It was a four day event held for all students irrespective of their branches. Three major workshops on Artificial Intelligence, Drones and Kart were conducted. We also had various competitions such as Terrain Racing, Drone flying .

  • SMART INDIA HACKATHON

    FIRST PRIZE WINNERS IN THE SMART HACKATHON A cash prize of Rs. 75,000/- was awarded to the students.

  • CISCO IoT HACKATHON

    Our Team members have also participated in the CISCO IoT Hackathon held in Bhubhaneshwar. They were semi finalists.

  • ANGELHACK 2018

    Our team members have also secured first place in Angel Hack Jaipur, 2018.

SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

For the first time ever in VBIT, Robotics Club has taken up the initiative of conducting Summer Internships.
We had internship programs on five major topics:

  1. Arduino
  2. Raspberry Pi
  3. Animation
  4. Augmented and Virtual Reality
  5. Adobe Photoshop

It was a success and all the participants were certified by AICRA
