Inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, “Rogi devo bhava” and “Daridra devo bhava,” the Bharathi Memorial Foundation established a home for orphaned patients, the physically challenged, the mentally retarded, and destitutes.

For the past 12 years, it has been serving hundreds of abandoned and discarded destitute patients, along with people suffering from various ailments who are lying on the roads in a pathetic condition. The Ashrama rehabilitates them, providing food, shelter, medical care, and a ray of hope in their lives. The Ashrama also performs “Annadana seva” by distributing food to orphans, the poor, and beggars residing on footpaths and railway stations.
