I B Tech 2023-24 Orientation Programme.
Day 4
Forenoon: Session 1: Final Day of the Student Induction Programme commenced with a highly useful and interesting talk on “Mind Power and Management” by His Grace Braj Bandhu Dasa from Hare Krishna Movement. The speaker elaborated on necessity of obtaining inner peace in the process of achieving focus ans concentration. He advised the participants that meditation has the power of stabilizing the mind and it enables one to focus.
A truly energetic and inspiring session followed in the second half of the forenoon. Volleyball Senior National Player, Public Relations Officer of TSRTC and the Director of Sarojini Fitness and Cricket Academy Mr. GR Kiran opened up a whole new world of health, fitness and happiness in front of the students. With his amazing energy and absorbing eloquence, Mr. Kiran drove home the point to all the young engineering undergraduates present that physical activity and outdoor sports help them to stay fit and happy and also enable them to prove their academic performance transforming them into thorough professionals.
The afternoon sessions got going with a message loaded skit by Women Protection Cell of the Institute.
A Valedictory Session followed to put the entire Student Induction Programme into perspective. Chairman Dr. N Goutham Rao interacted with freshmen and appealed to them to make use of the infrastructural facilities and the faculty strength to come out successful. He wished them all success in their academic endeavours. Principal Dr. PVS Srinivas, Director Freshman Engineering Prof. Ch. Venkata Ramana Reddy, Director Prof. YVSSSV Prasada Rao, Director, PG Studies, Dr. G. Amarendar Rao, Director Student Affairs Dr. T. Swarupa were also present.
The four-day Orientation Programme ended with cultural performances by the members of the college cultural club Virinchi. Notably, several students from the freshers also performed in addition to the seasoned performers of the college cultural club. The cultural evening provided the much-needed dose of entertainment to conclude the entire Student Induction Programme.
