Session 1
Mr. Sri Charan Lakkaraju, Founder and CEO of Student Tribe engaged the students in a highly interactive session by delivering a talk on “Beyond Academics – Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. Mr. Lakkaraju provided sple and practical tips that all the young professional students can implement to optimise their learning during the 4 years of engineering in VBIT.

Session 2
Mr. Surya Ganesh Valmiki, Chairman and MD Valmiki Group of Companies, threw ample light on the much needed life and career skills in demand in the present-day industry. During his session on the topic “Life Skills for the Modern Professional” he also laid a path before the freshmen engineering students leading to higher education, various careers in emeging technologies, and several career options available in the coming days.

Ms. Nirupama Das, CEO, Valmiki Group, put things in perspective by highlighting the foreign education services that they provide and appealed to all the freshers to start planning for their future endeavours right from the first year of their engineering.

Afternoon
Dr. PVS Srinivas, Principal of the Institute enligjtened the newcomers with an enthralling session on “Innovative Engineering – Impact of NEP-2020 on Higher Education”. HE focussed on various innovative technologies such as IoT, AIML, Data Science, Cyber Security etc., how they have become an integral part of our lives and various career options available in these areas. He also stressed that NEP-2020 stresses on the importance of interdisciplinary studies and how the Honours and Minor Degree programmes offered in VBIT reflect the spirit the new education policy.
