Forenoon
Session 1
Dr. P. Anil Kumar, Scientist ‘G’, DRDO, delivered delivered an effective presentation on the topic ‘Careers in Defense Research ‘. He through light on the advantages of choosing such careers, various opportunities present in the central government research organisations, the consistent growth opportunities, the selection process etc. and appealed to the freshman engineering students to start preparing for such careers which also present great platform to serve the nation.

Session 2
Controller of Examinations (CoE) Dr. B. Satish Kumar enlightened the Freshmen Engineering Students about the academics and examinations processes making th aware of all these important guidelines with respect to the course structure, credit offered, evaluation process etc. Dr. Satish appealed to them to be aware of these important guidelines to make the most of their BTech journey easier and smoother

Session 3
Dr. G. Amarender Rao, Director Admissions and I/C Director, Freshmen Engineering Department, made presentation to familiarise the freshers with the curriculum of the I BTech, various infrastructural facilities available, the academic calendar, rules and regulations to be followed, various academic and other related activities regularly conducted etc.

They are also informed about the allotment of the classrooms for all the sections, the class teachers assigned, the timetables, the dress code, the code of conduct etc.

Afternoon
The Valedictory Session was conducted putting the entire Student Induction Programme (SIP) – 2024 into perspective. Several freshmen engineering students came forward enthusiastically sharing their experience of the last one week’s sessions, mentioning its usefulness and expressing their satisfaction about the impact and the motivation it provided. Dr. N. Goutham Rao, Chairman of the Institute, Dr. PVS Srinivas, Principal, Dr. G. Amarender Rao, Director, Admissions, Dr. Swarupa, Director, SA, Mr. DKM Sharma, Programme Coordinator were presented and addressed the young students wishing him the best of luck in their four-year academic endeavour.

The Institute’s Official Cultural Club Virinchi presented a dose of fun, frolic and entertainment to conclude the weeklong Student Induction Programme of the year.
