EmpowerHer – Celebrating Strength, Resilience, and Progress

On this International Women’s Day, WEPC at VBIT proudly organized EmpowerHer, an inspiring event focusing on empowering women and driving meaningful change. With esteemed guests, engaging discussions and interactive activities, the event highlighted key issues like bridging the gender gap in STEM, technology for women’s empowerment, sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and the impact of AI on women’s workforce participation. The Girl students were provided with awareness regarding how women can excel in different STEM fields and how to grow in the field of Technology.

Our chief guest, Dr. Padma Veerapaneni, emphasized the importance of financial independence, continuous learning, and resilience, leaving a lasting impact on students and faculty alike. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. N. Gowtham Rao, Chairman of VBIT, Dr. Y.V.S.S.S.V. Prasad Rao, In-charge (Principal) and Director of VBIT, Dr. T. Swarupa Director of Student Activity Cell (SAC) and Dr. N. Ashwini Faculty Coordinator, HoDs of all departments, all female teaching and non teaching staff,whose guidance and support contributed to the success of the event.

The event truly embodied this year’s theme for IDW2025 #AccelerateAction, reminding us all that empowerment is a collective effort.
